Institut Technique de l’Aviculture

The French Poultry Technical Institute (ITAVI) is an applied research and development institute on poultry, rabbit, and fish productions. Different sectors are taken into account to improve sustainability in the production chains: farm housing and equipment design, nutrition, health and welfare, product quality, environment, and economics. Founded in 1968, this association is validated by the French government and is steered by four colleges: breeders, feed production, farmers, and slaughterhouses. 25 engineers and technicians work in ITAVI.
