INRAE (formerly INRA) is the national French Research Institute for Agriculture and Environment and the INRAE research units PEGASE (Rennes), URA (Tours), and GenPhySE (Toulouse) participate in the project as well as the experimental research unit UE PEAT (Tours) and the genomics and transcriptomics platform GeT Plage (Toulouse). The research units conduct research on animal biology and livestock systems to improve the sustainability and competitiveness of livestock production systems. Scientists in these units have expertise in nutrition, physiology, molecular and quantitative genetics, statistics, modelling and software development. INRAE will ensure the coordination of the project (Dr. Jaap van Milgen).
