Abstract:

Objectives

(i) To construct a weighted composite indicator of the sustainability of a selection of the new management systems proposed in the Feed-a-Gene project

(ii) To compare the relative sustainability of a selection of management systems proposed by the Feed-a-Gene project.

Rationale

This Deliverable uses the findings of the different elements of work package 6 to construct a weighted composite indicator of the sustainability of a selection of the new management systems proposed in the Feed-a-Gene project. The composite indicator was constructed using weights based on the results of the Delphi Experiment reported in D6.1 and populated with data on individual indicators generated in Tasks 6.2 and 6.3. The resulting composite indices will allow the comparison of a range of proposed feeding solutions in terms of their relative sustainability based around a set of component indicators.
