Post-doctoral position at IRTA (Caldes de Montbui, Spain)

Feed-a-Gene offers a 1-year post-doctoral position at IRTA (Caldes de Montbui, Barcelona, Spain). The main purpose of this post-doc will consist in analysing productive, experimental and genealogy databases for use in breeding programs. Scientific publications and supervision of final year undergraduate students involved in the project are expected. The post-doc researcher will take part on writing a project proposal to attract funding to further purse the research on this topic. The candidate will hold a PhD on Agriculture or Veterinary sciences and will have advanced knowledge on quantitative genetics and population genetics and on statistical analysis. A previous experience on animal breeding programs, primarily on prolific species such as pigs and rabbits is welcome.
