PhD position at INRA Rennes

Feed-a-Gene offers a PhD position consisting in "Generic modelling of pigs growth under challenging environmental conditions". The thesis will develop a model by integrating the animal’s response mechanisms to environmental perturbations (e.g., thermal and sanitary stress). The project is based on complementary approaches of mathematical modelling and use of data from previous experiments. This thesis focused on environmental perturbations (including sanitary stress) will be part of a generic mechanistic model  built for monogastric animals which takes into account digestion, metabolism and, variations among individuals.
