Association Française de Zootechnie

AFZ is a French association of professionals working in animal productions, which aims to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of technical and scientific knowledge between its members and the larger society. AFZ organises conferences and seminars on topics of interest for animal productions and manages national and international programmes on animal feeds, notably the INRA-AFZ feed tables (2002- 2004), the French feed database (since 1989) and the Feedipedia.org online encyclopaedia (with FAO, since 2009). It also participates in projects about animal production, where it is usually involved in activities of software and web development, expertise in animal nutrition, data management and data dissemination.
