IFIP is an Agricultural Technical Institute devoted to applied research, extension activities and training in the field of pig meat production, including both pig farmers and French pig industry economic partners. IFIP has developed an expertise in various fields involved in the project: pig nutrition and modelling, feedstuffs and feed practices evaluation, pig farm housing and equipment design (including precision farming), genetic improvement, systemic environmental assessment (LCA). IFIP is agreed by the French government both as a technical institute and as an agroindustrial institute. IFIP’s aim is to propose integrated and operational concepts to economic actors.
